The London Palladium hosted the event for the first time in what was a special night for the world’s game.

And Women’s Head Coach Andrée Jeglertz and his players Alex Greenwood, Bunny Shaw, Yui Hasegawa, Vivianne Miedema and Kerstin Casparij were all present at the prestigious 2026 Ballon d’Or awards on Monday evening.

Shaw made history by becoming City’s highest-ever ranked player, placing third after Alexia Putellas claimed a third Ballon d’Or.

The Jamaica international was nominated alongside Alex Greenwood, Kerstin Casparij, Vivianne Miedema and Yui Hasegawa who all placed 26th, 24th, 28th and 11th respectively, which were announced earlier in the evening.

Jeglertz was there to celebrate his shortlist for Women’s Coach of the Year and as part of our Manchester City Women’s Club of the Year nomination after the Swede led City to a historic double.

They all enjoyed a memorable night swapping football boots and football kit for some stylish looks as they also took centre stage on the red carpet.
