All the information you need to keep across the 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony.

The most prestigious individual awards ceremony in football, City have ten nominees at the latest event, which takes place on Monday 26 October in London.

We have two Men’s and six Women’s representatives across individual awards, alongside nominations for Head Coach Andrée Jeglertz and a spot on the Women’s Club of the Year shortlist.

We’ve put together all the key information you need ahead of the presentation so you don’t miss a thing...

WHAT IS THE BALLON D’OR?

The Ballon d’Or is considered the most prestigious individual accolade in football and is awarded based on a player’s performance across the calendar year.

In short, both lists are a collection of the game’s greatest-ever players, with everyone looking to add their name to the list.

The Men’s award began in 1956 and has had 47 recipients, with only one player receiving the trophy whilst a current City player.

That was Rodri in 2024, after helping City to a fourth successive Premier League title and being pivotal in Spain’s Euro 2024 success.

The Ballon d’Or Feminin was first awarded in 2018 and has had four recipients.

WHEN AND WHERE

For the first time, the Ballon d’Or ceremony will be in London, England.
