Carlotta Wamser is loving playing down the left flank with Lauren Hemp, after the winger netted a brace against Liverpool.

The German was handed her first start at the Joie Stadium since joining the Club in the summer, and played an important role in a hard-fought three points for the Blues.

Wamser appears to have already formed a strong relationship with Hemp down the left, with the latter having recently made her 200th City appearance.

Her fine form continued with a brace at the Joie Stadium, building on an assist in our 4-1 win over Aston Villa last time out.

Hemp opened and closed the scoring for City against the Reds, and Wamser was quick to heap praise on the number 11.

“I enjoy just giving her the ball so she can score or assist,” Wamser said.

“She is one of the best players in the world, and she is playing great.

“It’s easy to play with such a good player, and I hope that I can help her to keep scoring.”

Wamser was delighted to have played a part in another win for City after starting in last weekend’s match away to Aston Villa, a game in which we also scored four goals.

But to get her first taste of 90 minutes at the Joie Stadium, in front of the City fans, was a big moment for the full-back.

She added: “It’s been really nice (since joining the club) and the first start for me here in a really tough game.

“We had a great team performance, and we won the game, but now we have a game in three days, so we need to recover fast and be ready for that game.”
