The manager will speak to journalists at the CFA and you can watch the briefing live on mancity.com and our official app.

Don’t worry if you miss it though - there’ll be written and video recaps appearing on our digital estate later in the day, including injury news ahead of the game.

OPPOSING MANAGER - MICHAEL CARRICK

After a hugely successful playing career on the pitch for United, Carrick was drafted in to take interim charge of the team back in January. He went on to win 11 of his 16 matches in charge and was named as permanent head coach in May.

The former midfielder aims to balance fast attacks with controlled possession and especially at home, he likes to set the team up with priority on a high-intensity press.

They’ve started the league season with one win, one draw and one loss after facing Hull City, Ipswich Town and Everton.

PREVIOUS MEETING

Our impressive 13-match unbeaten run ended in the Manchester Derby back in January after goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Patrick Dorgu saw the Reds claim victory at Old Trafford.
