We face the Seagulls on Wednesday in a 19:30 (UK) kick-off at the Etihad.
Ahead of this Round Four encounter, Maresca fielded questions from journalists on the tie.
The boss spoke about the challenge of facing the same opponent back-to-back, the difficulty of taking on Brighton as well as team news ahead of the game as the manager offered five players time off this week to rest and recuperate.
He chatted about Gerónimo Rulli, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Marc Guéhi, Rico Lewis and Rayan Aït-Nouri as well as offering his thoughts on this week’s Ballon d’Or ceremony.
The press conference took place today at the City Football Academy.
