On our return to action after the September/October international break, Enzo Maresca’s side produced a wonderful display at Anfield.
After a tightly contested first half, the league leaders upped the ante after the break and took full advantage after Liverpool’s Ryan Gravenberch had been dismissed for a second bookable offence.
Erling Haaland broke the deadlock with a wonderful 66th minute strike – and substitute Jérémy Doku then doubled the advantage two minutes later with a sublime finish.
And a wonderful afternoon’s work – and second successive Anfield win – was then secured 12 minutes from time via a dazzling Rayan Cherki finish.
It made it six wins out of six in the league for City and saw Enzo Maresca’s men re-establish a three-point advantage on second-placed Arsenal.
