City dominated after the restart but had to wait until the 74th minute for number three to arrive through Bunny Shaw, before a Mathilde Harviken own goal deep into stoppage time completed the scoring.
Reflecting on the win, Jeglertz heaped praise on how the Blues continued to push for further goals despite having to play the waiting game at Villa Park.
“What I’m most pleased about is the players’ patience and confidence on the ball,” he said.
“I think even though we were just leading 2-1 and during the second half we created chances, I couldn’t see any frustration in the players, they were very calm, just finding the right time to move forward.
“They [Villa] are good in the transition, and you can easily be a little bit stressed by that, but I think we dealt with it and just kept on going and we got the results.”
Lauren Hemp once again took centre stage for City at Villa Park, grabbing an assist for Shaw and also forcing the late own goal which wrapped up the win.

Her set-up for Shaw saw her become only the seventh player in WSL history to reach 100 goal contributions, further cementing her fine start to the season and her overall impact on English football.
And Jeglertz was delighted to see Hemp reap the rewards of her hard work.
