The Brazilian winger leaves the Etihad Stadium after two seasons at City in which he played 84 times and scored seven goals.
After joining from CFG sister club Troyes following a sparkling loan spell with Girona, Savinho’s City debut came in the Community Shield penalty shootout victory over Manchester United in August 2024.
His first goal followed in the December win at Leicester City before further strikes against Club Brugge in the Champions League and Juventus in the FIFA Club World Cup.
The winger scored four goals in his next campaign, bagging the first in September 2025’s 2-0 Carabao Cup win at Huddersfield before the decisive second in a 2-0 home Premier League triumph over Brentford just before Christmas.
His delicate finish at Newcastle helped us progress in the FA Cup in March 2026 before hitting the third in a 3-0 Etihad success over Crystal Palace in May 2026.
“I’d like to thank everyone at Manchester City,” he said. “My teammates, the staff, the fans… all of them were brilliant with me. I am a better player and better person having spent time at City.
“As soon as I joined City, I knew what a top club it was. They provide players with so much to help them and make sure they improve. I will always be grateful to them for that.
“I enjoyed my time there immensely, especially winning the FA Cup and Carabao Cup last season - moments I will treasure.
“I learned a lot while at City and it was an honour to play with my brilliant teammates.
“I wish City the very best for the future.”

“He arrived in Manchester as a 20-year-old with limited senior experience and leaves as an FA Cup and Carabao Cup winner with lots of Premier League and Champions League games under his belt.
