The night at Wembley began with Harry Kane forcing the own goal from former West Ham defender Vladimir Coufal following a long spell of possession for the hosts.
Just over 10 minutes later, Elliot Anderson played the ball out wide to Morgan Rogers who hit the ball across the face of the Czechia goal with his first touch.
And on his 125th England cap, Kane doubled England’s lead five minutes before the break as Anderson once again looked pivotal in the Three Lions engine room.
Bayern Munich’s Kane headed home on 57 minutes as Thomas Tuchel’s side continued to dominate.
City defender Guéhi helped his nation deny Czechia from registering a single shot on target before he and Anderson were replaced just after the hour by Jarrad Branthwaite and James Garner respectively in what was a positive international spell for both.
In the other UEFA Nations League – League A – Group 3 clash, Joško Gvardiol and Mateo Kovačić’s Croatia fell to a late 2-1 defeat to World Cup champions Spain.
Ivan Perisic gave the hosts the lead on 17 minutes with Croatia looking to rectify last week’s 7-0 defeat to England.
Deployed at left-back, Gvardiol helped his nation defend valiantly as Spain pushed for an equaliser, which came on 61 minutes through Mikel Merino.
The group leaders weren’t done there. Croatia were then forced to play the final 10 minutes with 10 men when goalscorer Perisic was shown as second yellow card.
And despite Kovačić and Gvardiol’s best efforts, Merino found the all-important second for Spain to see Croatia fall to a late loss.
Earlier in the day Abdukodir Khusanov played 83 minutes in Uzbekistan’s 2-0 friendly defeat to South Korea.
Despite Khusanov’s Uzbek side enjoying more of the ball, clinical attacks by the hosts saw goals from Son Heung-Min and Oh Se-Hun claim victory for South Korea.
And a flurry of young City stars represented England’s Under-21s in their 3-1 defeat to the Republic of Ireland.
Max Alleyne (on loan at Burnley), Stephen Mfuni (on loan at Coventry) and Divin Mubama (on loan at Southampton) and Divine Mukasa (on loan at West Ham) all tallied minutes for the Three Lions.
Tyler Dibling gave England an early lead before a Tommy Lonergan brace and Conor McManus strike secured the win for the hosts.
But the defeat has no lasting impact for the young Three Lions who already secured their place in the 2027 Under-21 Euros.
