PUMA and Manchester City have collaborated with local Hong Kong creative studio Offgod:Tate to create bespoke merchandise for the Club’s visit to the region.

The collaboration includes a bespoke name and number worn against Inter Milan, and a black tee featuring Offgod:Tate’s distinctive skull design, in a cultural fusion that celebrates the team’s first visit to Hong Kong since 2019.

Offgod:Tate is a creative duo formed of brothers Tate and Andrew Mok, spanning art, fashion, design and street culture.

The duo recall following City from a young age: “Our relationship with Man City goes quite far back. We have both been big into football since we were kids and football has been a huge part of our lives. For Christmas one year, we both got Man City jerseys as gifts from our parents, and those jerseys are now attached to many of our football memories.”

The brothers were commissioned to design a bespoke font that was worn by the players as they stepped out to take on Inter Milan on 1st August at the Kai Tak Stadium.

Ahead of the game, the Club also gifted former Man City player Aleksandar Kolarov a special shirt

The brothers approached the font design by adding their signature skull and bone motifs to certain numbers and letters to create a distinct look that will certainly make these shirts favourites amongst local fans.

Speaking about their excitement for the collaboration, the brothers said: “We’re so excited to see the jersey live on the pitch with top players competing and playing in our distinctive font. It will be amazing to be able to look back on this crazy moment knowing we had a hand in making these special jerseys happen.”

The limited edition name and number was a hit in Hong Kong, and sold out within days of launching.
