Commenting ahead of the night, Jason said: “It’s a real privilege to be hosting the City in the Community Gala Dinner. I’m a huge City fan and of course love what they’ve been doing on the pitch, but I’m equally proud of the work the club does off the pitch.

“To be one of the biggest teams in the world yet still be integrally linked into your local community is a testament to all the people who work there. It’s a real honour to be the one handing out those awards.

“It’s a brilliant opportunity to celebrate everything that makes City such a great club on and off the pitch and of course, have a few laughs along the way. I’m looking forward to a fantastic night.”

Commenting on the event and Jason’s support, City in the Community CEO, Mike Geary, said:

“We are thrilled to have such an esteemed and celebrated Mancunian supporting our inaugural Gala Dinner.

“Jason’s involvement reflects how passionate the whole Manchester City family is about our charity and we are can’t wait to bring everyone together for what will be a joyous and impactful evening.”
