Despite a strong start from City, with an early goal from Casparij as she netted a Lily Murphy knockdown, the two sides shared the points after Everton headed home an equaliser on the half hour mark.
Casparij went on to speak about how the return of Rebecca Knaak and others has given the team an extra boost, and is hopeful that over the next few weeks a few more big names will be able to help City finish the season on a positive note.
And even with the disappointing result, the Dutch international explained how she’s proud of the team, noting that it’s been a tough season with injuries and missing key players.

“Honestly [I’m] gutted, I think there was a lot more in this game for us especially in the first half,” she said after the game.
“Scoring a goal, I think we could’ve been four or five up if we were more clinical but on the other side, I’m very proud of the team.
“It’s been a tough season and we’re doing everything we can with the players available.
“We fought for what we were worth. A draw’s at least a point but we wanted three.”
