The goalkeeper’s reliable, composed displays aided the Blues’ pursuit of the Barclays Women’s Super League and FA Cup double last term.

And in the WSL alone, her goals prevented tally of 4.7 was the second highest across the division and her top-flight clean sheets of seven was also only bettered by Chelsea’s Hannah Hampton.
Meanwhile, she also won 12 duels (the joint third-highest among the top-flight’s goalkeepers) and produced a save percentage of 76.5%.
But it was also Yamashita’s ability to pull off remarkable saves which made her such an integral part of City’s Double-winning machine with a stops in crucial wins over London City Lionesses and Chelsea particular highlights.
And, perhaps fitting of the season she enjoyed, the Japan international kept a clean sheet in City’s 4-0 FA Cup final victory over Brighton as the Blue signed off from the season in style.
