The Oldham-born 31-year-old has joined City from Orlando Pride on a short-term loan and will compete with Ayaka Yamashita and Eartha Cumings for a starting berth.
The ex-Everton, West Ham, Arsenal and Bordeaux custodian left for the US in 2022 and has since made over 100 appearances for the NWSL side, helping them win the double in 2024.
She feels the experience Stateside has changed her outlook on many levels and feels she can bring a wealth of positive experience with her to City.

“Yeah, I think I’ve grown as a person more than anything. I grew up a lot going out there and have grown more into the role of a leader,” said Moorhouse.
“I think you do it naturally with age anyway, but I think I’ve grown into that and just passing on experience and helping younger players.
“Communication is key to being a goalkeeper and I’ve improved that from being at Orlando.”
Looking back on recent successes, Moorhouse pinpoints 2024 as a landmark campaign as she collected two trophies, set an NWSL clean sheet record and also won a Lionesses call up.

“It was incredible,” she smiled.
“I’ve only got fond memories of it. It was just an incredible year and felt like everything went our way.
“We didn’t play well in some games but as a team we were so together and ground through results, got wins and also had our team-mate who had cancer [Luana], so we just rallied around that, and rallied around her.
“It was a real togetherness which transformed onto the pitch. We had a lot of success that season and I got called up for England as well.”
