The Blues completed the acquisition of England international Anderson, in July after the midfielder helped the Three Lions to a third-placed finish at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
It also followed the 23-year-old’s fantastic two-season spell at Nottingham Forest where he helped the East Midlands outfit to the Europa League semi-finals in 2025/26.

Foden is all too aware of the quality his new teammate possesses after sharing the field with him for Thomas Tuchel’s side and locking horns with him in the Premier League.
And speaking during City’s pre-K-League All Stars press conference, he stated his delight with Anderson’s arrival at the Etihad Stadium.
“I am really excited to have him at the Club,” Foden declared.
“Whenever I have watched him or played with him, he’s a player that likes to find the No.10 and wrap balls through the lines.
“That suits me really well. I’m excited to play with him and can’t wait really.”
