Phil Foden says City’s insatiable desire for silverware is now embedded in the Club.

Our Academy graduate will take his time at City to more 20 years after extending his contract until 2030.

The Stockport-born midfielder was introduced to senior football by Pep Guardiola before becoming one of the Premier League’s standout stars, including winning a sweep of individual awards for his spectacular 2023/24 season.

Now with a new boss in Enzo Maresca starting this summer, Foden insists that need to win trophies is just as strong as ever.

“I think it’s just in you and it’s in the Club as well,” he said.

“We’re always fighting for the next title or the next challenge and that’s the Club we want to be. 

“We want to be a massive Club competing for all trophies and you can see the attitude of the players even in the first couple of training sessions that we’re raring to go again and trying to win trophies.”
