Enzo Maresca’s squad arrived in South Korea on Tuesday after starting off with a Hong Kong leg of the Tour and the backing has been incredible throughout the team’s time in the Far East.
And speaking on Matchday Live after recording our first pre-season win against K-League All Stars, Gonzalez recognised the encouragement from the stands.
“I don’t understand how they [the fans] can support us so much here in another part of the world,” the 24-year-old began.

“But it’s so nice to feel this connected to Asia and all the fans here and obviously the conditions are difficult, but if you were to go to Spain now to play it’s going to be the same.
“It’s really nice to feel this close to all of the fans.”
