Rayan Cherki’s brilliant solo goal against Arsenal has been voted as City’s Goal of the Season.

Our French playmaker won the public vote after seeing off the challenges of Jeremy Doku whose excellent goal against Liverpool finished second, and Antoine Semenyo’s brilliant flick against Chelsea which finished third.

The goal itself was poetry in motion as Matheus Nunes chested the ball to Cherki who drove into the box, skipped past Gabriel, edged closer to goal before caressing a low shot through the legs of William Saliba, out of the reach of David Raya and into the back of the net.

A superb finish by a quite wonderful talent – congratulations, Rayan – and thanks to everybody who took time to vote.
