Director of Football Hugo Viana says City are pleased with our transfer activity this summer.

It was a busy few months at the Etihad Stadium, starting with the appointment of Enzo Maresca after Pep Guardiola brought an end to a glorious decade in charge.

On the pitch, we saw experienced internationals and promising youngsters arrive – including the likes of Elliot Anderson, Enzo Fernández, Iliman Ndiaye, Ayyoub Bouaddi, Gerónimo Rulli and Allan Elias.

We also said farewell to some legendary figures, with Bernardo Silva, John Stones and Rodri all heading for pastures new.

Speaking in the second half of his interview reviewing the recently closed window, Viana made it clear that the club are happy with the business we conducted.

“We are really happy,” he said.

“It was an important summer for us in terms of selling and buying it was a really good summer and heavy summer for us.

“But overall, we are really happy with the window.”
