Manager Enzo Maresca says he is confident the best of City is yet to come in the wake of a flying start to the new season by his side.

Saturday’s 1-0 Etihad win against Coventry City made it three victories out of three for the Blues further consolidating a fine start to the new season with City top of the embryonic table.

The game also saw debuts for both Enzo Fernández and Iliman Ndiyae who both arrived on transfer deadline day.

For the manager however the most encouraging aspect is that given the fact we have several new recruits after a summer of change, City are only going to improve going forward.

“I’m very happy,” Enzo reflected.

“Also, because I know the players day by day, we know each other.

“That means we are going to be better and better.”
